This game is a fun and exciting ice breaker that can also be used during a normal class. The idea is that you create 3 sentences about yourself, 2 of which are true and 1 is a lie. The aim of the game is for the rest of the class to interrogate you and make you show the lie, either by contradicting yourself of stuttering to find an answer. You have to be as convincing as you can be with your answers so that the class has no idea which are true and which is a lie.
The game generally gets better as the age of the students goes up and I think you’ll be surprised at what some of the students come up with.
At the beginning of class you set an example. I keep it simple:
-I’m afraid of snakes
-I have and an older brother and sister
-I was raised on a farm
Simple statements but difficult to find the lie. Don’t make it too complicated or you will waste time explaining the sentences.
